Academic

Faculty and students of M.Pharm and B.Pharm have presented scientific posters at various national events like Role of Intellectual Property Rights in Pharmaceutical Industry, BBDNIIT in Association with Indian Institute of Patent and Trademark Attorney, Lucknow , 12th International Congress of Ethnopharmacology Kolkata, 63rd IPC, Bangluru, 3rd CDRI-NIPER (RBL) symposium on Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Lucknow, International Conference on Recent Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Department of Pharmaceutics, IT-BHU, Varanasi, Many students have qualified GPAT in the previous years and secured post graduate seats for themselves in institutions of national repute like National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Mohali, Kolakata, Raibareli; Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS), Mesra; Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal. Faculty members from the institute have also been invited for lectures at NIPER, Raibareli. Some students from the institute have carried out projects at CDRI, Lucknow; NBRI, Lucknow. Prof. (Dr.) Shailendra K. Saraf, Director (Pharmacy) has delivered invited lectures at Roorkee College of Pharmacy, Roorkee; Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy, Indore; IPS Academy, Gwalior. He has also been invited by Republic of Sudan to deliver lectures at Biotech Park, Khartoum, Sudan. Dr. Saraf has also been conferred the Senior Scientist Award in Pharmaceutical Chemistry by All India Medicos Society. He is on the expert panels, research and development committees of various Govt. and non-Govt. organizations. He is a reviewer of various national and international journals like European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, Phosphorus Sulfur and Silicon and the Related Elements, Journal of Medicinal Plants Research, Archiv der Pharmazie, Eurasian Journal of Analytical Chemistry, Journal of AOAC international, etc. Dr. Saraf is a member of Advisory Board of International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Nano-technology, Transactions of Physical and Life Sciences, International Journal of Pharma Professional’s Research.

Extra Curricular

A blood donation camp, health checkup and health awareness programs were organized in Lucknow City as a part of social activity “AkhilJoyti 2018”.

More than 100 students from B. Pharm. and M. Pharm. Courses have won medals in annual fest "UTKARSH" of the institute upto 2016. Students have also participated and won medals at Fest organized by Amity University, Lucknow; Integral University, Lucknow; IIT, Kanpur,BBAU Lucknow etc.

The ‘National Pharmacy Week’ is celebrated in the third week of November every year which includes the propagation of the theme, pharma rallies, blood donation camp, quiz, educating people, social work, village visits, etc. Seven blood donation camps were organized with Aakansha Samiti Lucknow, King Georg Medical University and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Lucknow. More than 800 units of blood were donated in all Blood Donation Camps. Also, various professional and cultural activities are held around the year. The lectures and presentations are held by eminent personalities from academia, industry and research on a regular basis. Industrial Tours are organized every year for visit to pharmaceutical industries. The industrial training for students is also arranged on an annual basis.

Forum

There exists a separate Pharmacy Club at the Faculty of Pharmacy, which organizes various events during National Pharmacy Week and otherwise. Various activities are planned throughout the year with special emphasis on personality development, interview skills etc.
